The Female Strength Athlete: Considerations for Programming and Coaching Women in Strength Sports

Learning objectives: Gain an understanding of differences in pelvic floor anatomy, breathing and bracing strategies for heavy lifting that will promote pelvic floor health, adapting the program for optimal performance during various phases of the menstrual cycle, rebuilding strength postpartum, special considerations for menopausal athletes.

Introduction to Velocity Based Training (VBT)

The goal of this presentation is to introduce the basics of how to implement VBT into your current training programs. This presentation will have both a theoretical and practical portion. PUSH VBT bands will be used to give participants the practical experience of implemening VBT into some key resistance training exercises.

Indian Clubs, Bulgarian Bags, and Other Tools of Rotational Strength

This learn-by-do will introduce the history, science, and methodology of various tools of rotational strength such as clubs, Bulgarian bags, and maces. Participants will learn basic movements with each tool.
