In addition to didactic instruction, participants will have an opportunity to experience mindfulness-based interventions as well as develop their own peak performance visualization.

Simplifying the Rules to Programming for Special Populations

Programming for the extensive signs and symptoms of diseases and the various conditioning levels of special population clients can be challenging, especially for a novice trainer. This lecture helps trainers simplify the complexities of their client’s disease by streamlining the overall programming process from initial health appraisal to administration of exercise and beyond.

Post-activation Potentiation (PAP) is a neuromuscular phenomenon that is characterized as increased strength and power following a conditioning activity. This talk will explore the variables which contribute to PAP as well as how to maximize this phenomenon in training.

This dynamic learning session will explore essential movement preparation fundamentals to improve athleticism, flexibility, lower body strength & power and reaction time; all of which are instrumental to reducing injury risk.

Hand Speed and Conditioning Skills Training (hands-on)
by Bruce Lombard, MEd
Learn the basics of a hand skills program that focuses on the upper body extremities reaction development. The MMAFx program shows a unique training method that will increase an athlete’s hand speed, timing, precision, coordination, non-dominant hand development, peripheral vision, focus, information processing, and conditioning.
