Dr. Matt Lydum: is the Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach at Pacific University. Previously he has held head coaching positions at Pendleton High School in Eastern Oregon, San Francisco State University, and Defiance College in Ohio. He has served as USOC delegate to the International Olympic Academy and was project writer for the Human Kinetics text, Coaching Youth Track & Field.
Tom Millbrooke: is the Head Men’s and Women’s Track & Field / Cross Country Coach at Canby High School. Coach Millbrooke is starting his 37th season as a head track and field coach. He has been described as “One of Oregon’s most respected coaches and an asset to our sport.” He has successfully taught Level 1 Schools for the past 25 years and serves as the Chair of Coaches Education for USATF Oregon.
Peter Thompson: has worked with individuals from school level through to national record holders and world record holders. The athletes he has coached have competed in the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) Track & Field World Championships, Road World Championships and Cross Country World Championships. He wrote new and updated materials, including Introduction to Coaching – the Official IAAF Guide to Coaching Athletics (2009) and Run! Jump! Throw! – the Official IAAF Guide to Teaching Athletics (2009).
