Refund policy: 1/2 of the registration fee ($ 105.00) will be refunded after the pre- registration deadline and no refund will be given after the start date of the school.

Any student requesting ADA accommodations must make that request at the time of completing the application/registration, and support the request with the appropriate documentation sent to Matt.Rohlf@usatf.org. From I-59: Take the Buffalo Speedway exit and go north. After crossing W. Alabama St., the MS/LS/Fine Arts/Athletics facilities will be on the right. Continue on Buffalo Speedway and cross Westheimer. After crossing Westheimer, Buffalo Speedway turns into Claremont.
From Loop 610: Take Westheimer east to Claremont/Buffalo Speedway. Turn left on Claremont for the Upper School and the Admission Office, or turn right on Buffalo Speedway.
Campus map and directions
There is no Level 1 School hotel. However, there are several hotels in the area. Please refer to booking.com, traveladvisor.com, trivago.com or your preferred accommodations site for rooms. St. John’s School is near the intersection of I-610 and I-69. All session will be at St. John’s School.
Sue Humphrey: was the 2004 Head Women’s Olympic Coach and has received the Nike Coach of the Year Award. She has had several years of experience coaching elite, collegiate, and high school athletes; including Charles Austin, the 1996 Olympic Gold medalist in the high jump. She is the only female coach to have NCAA champions in the high jump, long jump and triple jump. She holds USATF Level 2 certifications in sprints/hurdles/relays and jumps.
Richie Mercado: is the St. John’s High School (Houston, TX) Head Track & Field Coach and has coached 30+ years. He recently earned his USATF Level 3 and IAAF Level V Elite Coach Diploma in the Jumps. He also has a USATF Level 2 in the combined events and is the Jr. Coordinator for USA Heptathlon. He serves as secretary of the NACACTFCA (North America, Central America and Caribbean Track & Field Coaches Association).
Cheryl Mitchell: is Level 2 certified in endurance, throws, jumps and sprints. She has been a Level 1 Instructor in the Houston area. With 29 years of coaching experience, she has coached multiple athletes who have gone on to compete at the collegiate level, including Raveyn Rogers. She coaches girls’ cross country and track and field at the Kinkaid School (Houston, TX).
Lauren Smith: Smith’s coaching career started at her alma mater, the University of Houston, as a volunteer coach. She then became an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator at The Academy of Art University and the 2013 NCAA Women’s Division II indoor/outdoor track champions. Her coaching career continued at The United States Military Academy, West Point, and then at Altis in Phoenix. She is now the hurdle coach at Episcopal High School in Houston, TX.
