Chris Richardson: is currently the Director of Track and Field/Cross Country at Cerritos College. Richardson previously served as the Director of Track and Field/Cross Country at El Camino Compton Center, Assistant Coach at the University of Central Arkansas, and Head Coach at Moorprak College. Through these various coaching endeavors many NCAA Division I Regional qualifiers, school record holders, state champions, Junior All-Americans, and CCCAA All-American were developed. Most recently, Richardson has served as a Team USA Coach for the Capital Cup, NACAC U23 Championships, Pan American Junior Championships, and Thorpe Cup USA vs Germany.
Tony Veney: is currently the Director of men and women’s track and field at Ventura College. Tony served a short stint as Director of track and field/cross country at North Carolina A&T State University (2011). While an assistant coach at UCLA (2003-2009) Coach Veney led 15 Bruins to either indoor or outdoor All-American status, six Pac-10 Champions and four NCAA West Regional titles. Brandon Johnson most notably still ranks as the 5th fastest teenager all-time in the 400 intermediate hurdles as well as being a member of the World Record Junior 4×400 meter relay (2004). During his tenure at Portland State, the Vikings had 28 All-Big Sky Academic award winners. Prior to coaching at Portland State, Veney was an assistant men’s track coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Oregon from 1998-2001. While with the Ducks, he worked with 2001 NCAA decathlon champion Lorenzo Santiago and 10 All-Pac-10 performers. He served as the Elite Junior Film Coordinator from 1987 to 2000 and Elite Senior Film Coordinator and Junior Elite Sprint/Hurdle Camp Clinician from 1988 to 2000. From 1987-1999, he was the Regional Sprint Coordinator. In 1999, he assumed the position of Women’s Sprint Development Chair. A USATF Level 1, 2 and 3 Clinician and certified USATF Master of Coaching, Veney has produced six sprint and hurdles training videos, and has written two sprint and hurdles training manuals and recently published a sprint/hurdle book called Conditioning for Track & Field, published by Human Kinetics.
Anthony Garcia: is currently an Assistant Cross Country and Track and Field coach at UC San Diego, a position he has held since June of 2015. Prior to coming back to his alma mater, Garcia was the Head Women’s Cross Country and Assistant Track and Field Coach at Cuyamaca College. Before heading to the collegiate ranks he spent 11 years coaching high school as well as a few years coaching youth for the Southern California Road Runners. Garcia has won coach of the year honors in both high school and college while also coaching All-Americans at both levels. A two time USATF National Team head coach Garcia was also the Head of Development for USATF Race Walking. Garcia is Level 2 Certified in both Endurance and Sprints, Jumps and Hurdles.
Racquel Turner: is currently the head Sprint Coach at Saugus High School. She has 10 years of youth coaching experience with the Santa Clarita Storm Track Club, one of the largest track clubs in the USA, and the Valley United Track Club. Over the past four years, Turner has coached dozens of Junior Olympic All-Americans, including the 2018 USATF National Champion Boys 13/14 4×100 team. She is a USATF Level 3 Certified Youth Coach, with Level 2 certificates in Youth and Endurance.
