Shawn Venable: is assistant coach for jumps and hurdles and recruiting coordinator at Liberty University. He has coached several All-Americans, conference champions and school record holders in the sprints and jumps events. Venable holds multiple coaching education certifications, including the highest attainable certification with USATF Level 3 and IAAF Level V certification in Jumps, Sprints/Hurdles, and Combined Events. In addition to coaching, he also serves as the USATF Level 1 Regional Coordinator for the Southeast region.
Asha Gibson: Asha Gibson enters her fourth year serving as the sprints and hurdles coach for the Tennessee State track and field team in 2017-18. A native of Birmingham, Ala., Gibson graduated Magna Cum Laude from Jacksonville State University in Health Education and received her Master’s degree in Physical Education w/ emphasis in Human Performance. She has earned USATF Level 2 certifications in Sprints, Hurdles, Relays and Jumps. Gibson is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and has participated in the USOC/USATF Emerging Elite Coaches Camp at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA.
Glenn McAtee: A veteran USATF Level 1 and Level 2 instructor, McAtee is also USATF Level 3 certified in the Throws. He is currently the Head Boys Coach of J.L. Mann High School in Greenville, SC. McAtee’s coaching experience also includes 10 years at the NCAA Division I level, with stops at Clemson University and Cal State Northridge.
