David Pavlansky was head boys’ track and cross country coach at Boardman High School from 1999 –2011. Twice named OAT&CCC District 1 Boys’ Track Coach of the Year, Dave received the 2007 Fred Daffler State Coach of the Year Award for Boys’ Cross Country. In 2007 he was among 10 sprint coaches selected nationwide to attend the USATF Emerging Elite Coaches’ School in Orlando, Florida. During Dave’s 12-year tenure Boardman teams won 6 League and 7 District Championships, produced individual Indoor and Outdoor state champions, and developed two Nike All-Americans. Dave is a Level 2 instructor and has USATF Level 2 certifications in Jumps, Endurance, and Sprints / Hurdles / Relays. He currently serves as USATF Regional Coordinator of Coaching Education for the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic.
Larry Judge, Ph.D., C.S.C.S. is an Assistant Professor of Physical Education and coordinator of the graduate coaching program at Ball State University. He has 18 years of Division I coaching experience with Indiana State University, the University of South Carolina, the University of Wyoming and the University of Florida. He is currently the USA Track & Field National Chairman for Coaching Education in the throwing events. He is also a Level III instructor for the International Association of Athletics Federation’s (IAAF) Coaching Education Program and has coached more than 100 NCAA Division I All-Americans, including nine Olympians.
In Steve Rahn’s 2nd year as head coach at Catholic University, Stever has 17 years of coaching experience, with nine at the collegiate level. In his initial year at Catholic, Steve’s athletes broke ten school records and produced the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year on the men’s side and an NCAA All-American on the women’s. In his career Steve has been a part of 22 Landmark Conference Championships which saw his teams earn 103 individual and 15 relay championships as well as 22 Coaching Staff of the Year honors. Steve is certified IAAF Level 5/USATF Level 3 in Sprints/Hurdles and holds USTFCCCA certifications in Jumps, Strength & Conditioning, and Throws.
