Lawrence W Judge, Ph.D., CSCS*D, RSCC*E, Throws Instructor: Larry is a professor of Kinesiology and coordinator of the graduate coaching program at Ball State University. He has 18 years of Division I coaching experience with Indiana State University, the University of South Carolina, the University of Wyoming and the University of Florida. He is currently the USA Track & Field national chairman for coaching education. He is the Indiana State Director for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is also a Level 3 instructor in the International Association of Athletics Federation’s (IAAF) coaching education program. He has coached more than 100 NCAA Division I All Americans, including nine Olympians. He has served as an assistant coach for the United States for the 2012 and 2016 Paralympic Games and helped tutor Gold Medalists Jeremy Campbell and David Blair in the F44 discus throw.
Apryl Hampton, Horizontal Jumps/Endurance Instructor: Apryl has coached several US National teams including US World Junior Team, Barcelona, Spain (2012), US Pan Am Junior Staff, Trinidad and Tobago (2009), US World Championship Tune Up (2007). She has also served as the USATF Women’s Development – Horizontal Jumps, USATF National Podium Education Project – Jumps, USATF Southwestern Association Coaching Ed/ Coaching Advisory Chair. She is a USATF Level 1 and 2 coach and instructor.
Shawn Venable, Jumps, Sprints/Hurdles/Relays Instructor: Jumps and Hurdles Coach at Liberty University. Prior to starting at Liberty U. Coach Vinny was in charge of the field events and assists head coach Joe Dial with the sprinting and hurdles events. He has coached several All-Americans and conference champions in the Sprinting and Jumping events. Venable has earned three USATF Level 3 and IAAF Level 5 Coaching Education certifications (the highest attainable); the jumping events (2013), the sprints/hurdles events (2014), and the combined events (2015).
