USATF Coaching Education Schools (Level 1 School) – Stillwater High School – Stillwater, MN

Scott Christensen: has been the boys head cross country and head track coach at Stillwater High School in Minnesota since 1981. During that period Stillwater has won thirteen state titles and has been ranked nationally nine different years in the National Top 10 High School Rankings. In 1997 Stillwater was named the National High School Champions in cross country. Since 1995, seven different Stillwater milers have captured Minnesota State 1600 meter titles. Since 2003, four different Stillwater alumni have run sub four minutes for the mile. That list includes: Luke Watson, Sean Graham, Jake Watson, and Ben Blankenship.
Christensen worked 13 years as a lead instructor in the USATF Level 2 Endurance Schools from 1997-2010. He was USATF Chairman of Endurance Education from 1999-2010. In 2003, he served as the USA Junior Team Leader to the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland and in 2008 served as the USA Senior Team Leader to the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Rob Graham: is the Head Boys Cross Country and Track coach at Eagan High School, with his teams having great success in the sprints and endurance events. Graham has previously instructed at 26 Level 1 Schools and was a multi-year Level 2 instructor. He holds USATF Level 2 certifications in Sprints/Hurdles/Relays and Throws.
Steve White: is in his seventh season as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Minnesota working with the Golden Gopher pole vaulters. White’s charges annually are a stronghold of the Minnesota team. Joe Plencner was the Big Ten indoor runner-up in 2009, while Ben Peterson won the 2008 Big Ten indoor title. Peterson’s runner-up finish in the 2008 outdoor meet helped the pole vaulters score 20 points in the event with four Gophers placing in the top eight. Before working at Minnesota, White coached at St. John’s, St. Thomas, Tech High School and Armstrong High School. White earned All-America honors during his college career at North Central College (Ill.), graduting in 1993.
Bill Martell: is the Long Jump/Triple Jump coach at Elk River High School (MN). Martell has had great success at the high school level, including one of the nation’s best horizontal jumpers in 2017. He has instructed at 21 Level 1 Schools and is USATF Level 2 certified in the Jumps.
