Instructors and Bios
Chris Richardson is currently the Director of Track and Field/Cross Country at Cerritos College. Richardson previously served as the Director of Track and Field/Cross Country at El Camino Compton Center, Assistant Coach at the University of Central Arkansas, and Head Coach at Moorpark College. Through these various coaching endeavors many NCAA Division I Regional qualifiers, school record holders, state champions, Junior All-Americans, and CCCAA All-American were developed. Most recently, Richardson has served as a Team USA Coach for the Capital Cup, NACAC U23 Championships, Pan American Junior Championships, and Thorpe Cup USA vs Germany.
Joel Pearson is the Head Cross Country Coach at Pratt Community College. Previously, Joel was the Director at Cardinal Stritch University. During his time, the Wolves captured six national champions, 34 all-Americans, 42 National Qualifiers, and set an NAIA National DMR record. A USATF Level 3 / IAAF Level V Academy Coach – Endurance, Joel holds USATF Level 2 certifications in Endurance, Combined Events, Sprint/Hurdles, Jumps, and Youth. He holds a Masters in Sport Management.
Racquel Turner is currently the head Sprint Coach at Saugus High School. Turner has over 10 years of youth coaching experience with the Santa Clarita Storm Track Club, one of the largest track clubs in the USA, and the Valley United Track Club. Over the past four years, Turner has coached dozens of Junior Olympic All-Americans, including the 2018 USATF National Champion Boys 13/14 4×100 team. She is a USATF Level 3 Certified Youth Coach, and holds USATF Level 2
certificates in Youth Specialization, Endurance and Sprints/Hurdles/Relays.
